Excellent hairstylist and salon overall! I’ve lived in the area for years and have tried countless salons, but this is truly the only place where I’ve consistently walked out loving my hair and not had to deal with any breakage or damage to my hair afterwards. I saw David, who was really attentive to what I wanted and honest about what might compromise my hair health. He honestly works from the heart which is something I’ve found hard to come by at the other salons around here. So if you’re in Astoria and are looking for a go-to spot, I would definitely drop by this salon!

Break up with your mediocre hairdresser and come to Nikki! She did a phenomenal job coloring and styling my hair, at a very reasonable price. She also made me much more comfortable with keratin treatments and helpfully explained the differences in products. Looking forward to coming back!

He does an amazing job with my balayage, always blends it so naturally and makes sure the color is exactly what I’m looking for. I also get a glaze and blow dry regularly — every time, my hair feels and looks incredible, super shiny and healthy. I had an amazing experience at DY Hair Salon! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I want to give a special shoutout to Yana, who did both my haircut and keratin treatment—she is absolutely fantastic! Yana took the time to listen to what I wanted and gave great suggestions that worked perfectly for my hair type. The keratin treatment she did left my hair feeling silky, smooth, and so much more manageable. Plus, the cut was exactly what I envisioned—fresh, stylish, and flattering. She’s not only incredibly skilled but also so kind and professional. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and takes pride in her work.
